Facial Recognition Results
we wake up to facial recognition results from PIZZA, re the KILLERS:
- one is a broward county man, no name, we have a picture of him; charged as john doe (SCARRED KILLER); the white guy; rough age 20ish, arrests all this year in Ft Lauderdale
- ELLE GABLE also shows up in MIAMI on aug 16 2016 buying a greyhound ticket, which was to Baltimore, arrived 4hr before the abduction
- q: who else was on that bus?
- third face has appeared in the facebook group Md homeschoolers, where a woman named SUSAN CUNNINGHAM posted footage of the young man (he'd be 17 now, but in some of the videos he was as young as 13) who is one of her three adopted children; in the videos they're praying and doing wholesome stuff, she calls him THOMAS PEREZ CUNNINGHAM or Tommy; the CUNNINGHAM FARM is in wico-mico county md; 2hr drive from zion; THOMAS PEREZ CUNNINGHAM is the youngest of 3
- SUSAN CUNNINGHAM's spouse is EMIL CUNNINGHAM
Follow-up Requests
we request that PIZZA run down the leads:
- who else was found alive at CORNUCOPIA HOUSE
- how can we contact FRANKLIN PRICE
he replies that he can't unseal child records, but that they're at the STATE ARCHIVE in annapolis; he could also get us a warrant but it'll take 2 weeks (unnaceptable)
re FRANKLIN PRICE: he's been receiving benefits since 1998 owing to a lack of psychological competence; now 58yo in CHARLOTTES REST VETERANS HOME, just south of d.c.
Trip to CHARLOTTES REST VETERANS HOME
we head to FRANKLIN PRICE at CHARLOTTES REST VETERANS HOME
Arrival
big complex; expansive courtyards, room for musical guests, family meals, ambulance visible in the parking lot under the awning, they're wheeling a body out of the facility. lobby: they're playing 80s smooth pop; nobody at the front desk. some blood under the desk.
MO opens the little door thing and sees a man on the ground with his throat torn out; looks like a dog did it. screen with security feeds.
LOTTIE loots corpse for keys
MO flags down the parametics outside, they're like "what are you talking about", but come out and see the dead guy
paramedics leave with the corpse, MO rewinds security cam, sees:
Security Footage
- paramedics arrive, rush through door, run down hall, throatless man (now throated) behind desk looking nursey
- right behind paramedics, ELLE GABLE arrives, hides in broom closet during paramedic scuffle
- paramedics leave down the hallway
- ELLE GABLE jumps out of the closet, and opens the door to three dogs (ANIMALS): a German shepherd, a giant schnauzer, and a standard poodle; the poodle rips the nurse's throat out
- ELLE GABLE enters room 121 with the dogs; we see ourselves immediately enter
- dogs seem trained and obedient; notably she's not giving them commands
- SHELF rushes door 121, tries to break it down
- LOTTIE follows with stolen key card, opens door
Room 121 Confrontation
the scene:
- ELLE GABLE with a huge bone knife
- bloody poodle
- she's holding the knife over an old man (FRANKLIN PRICE) in the bed
- SEAMUS and LOTTIE are nauseated by ROTTING FLESH hunger-making smell; MO and SHELF are not
- SHELF shoots to incapacitate; gets her in the leg
- ELLE GABLE lets out baboon shriek and falls to the ground;
- the dogs are for sure gonna attack us at this point
- LOTTIE tries a dog command; the german shepherd sees the command, looks at LOTTIE, understands and cooperates in a supernatural way, not like other dogs.
- SHELF shoots the poodle
- SEAMUS shots at schnauzer, misses
- schnauzer attacks SEAMUS, severely biting his arm
- MO jumps on FRANKLIN PRICE to protect him with his body
- FRANKLIN PRICE: "smells like cookies..."
- SHELF restrains ELLE GABLE
- LOTTIE communicates to the German shepherd (ANIMALS): "get that schnauzer off of SEAMUS"
- SEAMUS shoots at the schnauzer, misses
- MO jumps off of FRANKLIN PRICE with knife to attack schnauzer, misses
- the German shepherd attacks the schnauzer; these dogs are fighting now
- we take down the schnauzer; the poodle dies, the German shepherd
- ELLE GABLE resists arrest, SHELF knocks her out
- SHELF shoots the German shepherd to kill; it goes down
- seeing the dog murder, LOTTIE and SEAMUS are both aghast
- LOTTIE: "what the fuck he was listening to me"
- SHELF: "our mission isn't to study the supernatural it's to destroy it"
- single tear runs down LOTTIE's cheek
- MO turns to FRANKLIN PRICE, who is mumbling about smelling cookies, he smells like ROTTING FLESH
- SHELF finds a bloody pamphlet in ELLE GABLE's pocket, advert for ST LAWRENCE CHURCH homeless shelter in florida, DOODLES on reverse, multiple instances each of,
- outline of black head containing red brain
- crescent moon over horizon with stars, dead tree silhouetted in foreground against the moon (every instance of this doodle (DOODLES) has the stars in the same pattern)
- an airplane depicted over a large cross, the large cross is overlaid on a haphazard grid; cross is red-cross-type, not christian
- a dog in a circle (LOTTIE frowns at this)
- a child's stick figure drawing of a smiling family (two kids mom and dad) and the mother's head is a black hole
- SHELF wraps ELLE GABLE in a shower curtain
- LOTTIE runs to front desk and takes security footage hard drive and FRANKLIN PRICE's file
- SEAMUS: "Franklin, do you know why this woman was after you?"
- FRANKLIN PRICE: "she was one of the QUIET CHILDREN"
- SEAMUS: "have you seen any other QUIET CHILDREN?"
- FRANKLIN PRICE: "it smells like cookies"
- SEAMUS: "who are they? what are the QUIET CHILDREN?"
- SHELF kills FRANKLIN PRICE with pillow move
- MO takes a sample of poodle blood, adds to inventory
- SEAMUS takes dog collars
- SHELF wipes door handle for prints; LOTTIE does the same with the front desk computer
- SEAMUS shoves sock in ELLE GABLE's mouth
- we toss her in the suv
- we make it onto the road
Interrogation En Route
In the Car
- MO does first aid on ELLE GABLE, tourniquets wound
- condition: she could use a trip to the hospital but she'll be more-or-less fine either way
- MO does first aid on SEAMUS
- SHELF drives to the swamp (JUG BAY WETLANDS SANCTUARY); off-road a bit to get out of earshot
- arrive at 10:30
- we sit ELLE GABLE on the ground and remove the sock
- she screeches like a babboon, tries to bite us, we aren't getting anywhere
- SHELF does some hitting, it doesn't work, "idk, try good cop"
- MO holds ELLE GABLE down and pours liquor down her throat
- MO wafts ROTTING FLESH smells under ELLE GABLE's nose
- a crow lands on the ground next to us (ANIMALS)
- MO, to the crow: "if you understand, nod your head"
- we hear animal whimpering from behind a tree
- MO and SEAMUS go around the tree while LOTTIE stays with ELLE GABLE
- they see a very large rabbit (ANIMALS), which just gave birth to 6 or 7 baby rabbits, but something's gone wrong and it's whimpering. the babies are dead.
- LOTTIE reaches into the rabbit vag and finds something small and hard, pulls it out, it's a human molar
- ELLE GABLE starts laughing
- LOTTIE holds the molar out to ELLE GABLE, who does not react
- SHELF: "I tried my tools on her (gestures at guns), you've tried your brain stuff. what's left?"
- it is very hot out
- MO collects some leg blood
- LOTTIE says nothing
- SHELF: "SEAMUS, do you have the means to do a rudimentary autopsy here?"
- MO and SEAMUS: "yes"
- MO: "good journey" and covers ELLE GABLE's eyes and slits her throat
- autopsy result: drug addict's body; no gleal scarring (which would indicate dementia), no teeth in uterus, 20$ in pockets, nothing else
- we successfully dispose of the body, digging a competent and high-quality grave
Cleanup
we get back in the car, it's 1pm, we're covered in mud and sweat and blood
we go to walmart and get new clothes, wipes, whatever, as needed, to get rid of blood/mud
LOTTIE is very drunk
CUNNINGHAM FARM Investigation
En Route
in the car on the way to CUNNINGHAM FARM
- SEAMUS speculates that THOMAS PEREZ CUNNINGHAM might be dead; maybe corresponds with the black-hole-faced mom doodle (DOODLES)
- SHELF notes that if ELLE GABLE took a car to the vet's home, it's in the parking lot and the police will find it
- we pull up on a very quaint farmhouse
- LOTTIE gets to door first, rings doorbell a lot of times, no answer
- SEAMUS does a lap around the house
- MO checks mailbox; full of mail; bills etc, going back two weeks
- LOTTIE opens door, being careful to wipe handle
Farmhouse Sweep
the scene:
- rotty smell (not the ROTTING FLESH smell that LOTTIE and SEAMUS find delicious, just gross rot); smell coming from upstairs; rotten fruit on the counter
- we clear the house police-style, starting with this ground floor; we see no basement stairs
- we move up the stairs
- parents bedroom (SUSAN CUNNINGHAM, EMIL CUNNINGHAM): two viscerally mutilated bodies, knife-style; that's the source of the smell
- SHELF: "LOTTIE you might not want to look in here"
- nothing in the kids rooms
- MO checks bodies medically
- two people in their 60s, on top of the blankets, brutally stabbed to death and then flayed, cutting their skin up with knives (not in a "to collect a particular piece" way -- all the skin appears to be accounted for here)
- they're wearing sleeping clothes
- Tommy's room (THOMAS PEREZ CUNNINGHAM): weirdly not decorated; spartan; notebook full of DOODLES -- the same drawings, not just similar content
- no evidence of pets, husbandry
- no weird dead tree
- SHELF: texts PIZZA with updates; pizza confirms that ELLE GABLE's corpse is secure, it is.
- in pictures where everyone else is smiling, Tommy (THOMAS PEREZ CUNNINGHAM) is not smiling
- in drawer: extensive paperwork from various psychologists all about Tommy (THOMAS PEREZ CUNNINGHAM); he's seen many therapists because he is still nonverbal (QUIET CHILDREN?)
- we take that file
- big retcon: the siblings are dead also in the same way actually
Phone Call from COSTA
- LOTTIE's Barbara cover phone rings, it's COSTA
- COSTA: "hey barb! you haven't been around the site today. doing some investigation?"
- LOTTIE: "yeah"
- COSTA: "I found something you might be interested in. When can you talk one on one, Barbara, or should I say, Charlotte? maybe tomorrow? breakfast. DENNYS. 8am."
- LOTTIE does not report about the call to us
- SHELF: "who was that?"
- LOTTIE: "my dog handler peanut"
- SHELF: "wasn't that your cover phone?"
- LOTTIE: "yes, I gave him the number"
- SHELF: "I don't like that"
Cover Story
we decide: our cover up methodology is gonna be to make it look like these three kids got fucked up by something that happened at the home (bad but not supernatural) and got murderous. we leave this scene for cops to find.
SHELF texts PIZZA to get in sync about our intended cover story
